Sleepy Hollow – Season 1, Episode 7: “The Midnight Ride”

Sleepy Hollow: The Midnight Ride

Andy’s back!  I wondered what happened to him.  It wasn’t obvious the last time we saw him, but he can blink in and out of existence at will, it seems.  I want to know how he got mixed up with The Horseman to start with?  He doesn’t seem like a bad guy.  He seems to be trying to help Abbie, but to what end?  Is he trying to save his soul or is there another reason?  Maybe it was fear that made him turn to the dark side.  I can see the beginnings of that with Luke.

If The Horseman and Ichabod are no longer connected, why didn’t he kill Ichabod in the Freemason house?  It was the perfect opportunity and it’s not like Abbie or Ichabod can kill him.

Was James Frain one of the Freemasons that The Horseman killed?  It was hard to tell from the heads.  Did he kill four random Freemasons we hadn’t met yet?  What was the ring that Ichabod took off one of the bodies?  He never mentions it to Abbie and we never see him with it again. Does it have some significance or did it just remind Ichabod about the manuscript?

How did The Horseman find Captain Irving?  For that matter, how did he know Irving had his head? He doesn’t seem to know where it’s at any other time.  Finally, Captain Irving has seen The Horseman with his own eyes.  At least he doesn’t think they are crazy now.  Even though I remain suspicious, it seems that he’s a good guy.

What happens if there is a power outage before they get The Horseman into the magical cell?  How are they going to keep the UV light on him until they get him to the cell?  I guess they just have to keep him trapped until daylight, then they can move him.

Favorite Lines:

  • “See, we, too, were British at the time so that would have been most unhelpful.” — Ichabod
  • “I’m the only one amongst you who doesn’t require medication.” — Ichabod
